Menu
Square or Toast takes the order. Menu is the kitchen copy so tickets, prep, waste, and profit share one dish. This is Track B on Setup. Guiso does not import recipes from the POS.
Unmapped POS lines still show on Orders; prep, waste, and profit skip them.
Recipes vs products
| Recipes | What you make (dough, sauce). SKU + amount. You type these. |
| Products | What you sell. Attach recipes. One Square variation or Toast item = one product. |
POS id
Match is by catalog id, not ticket text.
| POS | Store | How |
|---|---|---|
| Square | Variation id | Import from Square or paste |
| Toast | Item GUID | Paste (no import) |
Put size in the Guiso name (Cheese Pizza 18") — cooks see that label, not “Regular”.
Setup order
- Connect POS — Track A
- Stock — SKUs and costs
- Menu → Recipes — add by hand, link SKUs
- Menu → Products — Square import or Toast GUID; name for the cook
- Attach recipes, turn on Weekly par, set the weekly planner
| After… | You get |
|---|---|
| Map POS id | Kitchen name on Orders |
| Recipes + costs | Food cost |
| Recipes + par + completed tickets | Prep, then Waste |
| Line totals on tickets | Profits (also needs staffing and overhead) |
If it looks wrong
